Agnes G. (Garoian) Davagian, 95, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5th in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Northbridge.

Agnes is predeceased by her husband, Harry Davagian, who passed away in 2010. She leaves two sons, Harry T. Davagian and his life partner, Anne Boucher, of Sutton, and Gregory Davagian and his wife, Jan, of Sutton; five grandchildren, David, Paul, Sara, Amy and Peter; a great granddaughter, Madalyn; many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her two sisters, Mary Barss and Eva Avadanian.

Agnes was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, graduated from Framingham State College in 1941 and moved to Sutton in 1944, where she joined her husband at the family dairy farm. She was a home economics teacher in the Sutton Jr. /Sr. High School for 27 years, retiring in 1979 and loved sharing stories of the exploits of her many students through the years. Agnes liked painting, music, reading, cooking for her family, and sewing. Agnes loved to swim and did so well into her eighties. She especially loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them at the pool, Wingaersheek Beach, or at family cook-outs.

Agnes's calling hours will be held on Monday, Dec. 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec 15th at 11 a.m. in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street in Worcester. Burial will follow at Howard Cemetery in Sutton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
