Akiko Morii

MILLBURY - Akiko Morii, 59, died Sunday, June 19th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Beloved wife of Stanley Tabor Jr. and loving mother, of Stanley Tabor III.

Akiko was born in Osaka, Japan and immigrated to the United States in 1990. She graduated from Paul Smith's College in New York and worked in Manhattan, in the hotel industry until 1999, when she moved to Millbury. She studied Childhood Education at Quinsigamond College and worked diligently as a teacher in Acton Public Schools and the Japanese Language School in Medford, MA. She is survived by her husband and son in Millbury, and her brother Keiichi Morii and family living in Moriguchi, Osaka, Japan.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Noon on Friday, June 24th in Central Cemetery, West St. in Millbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. There are no calling hours.
