WORCESTER – Albert "Pat" H. Dufault, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 11th in St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of declining health. His wife of 67 years, Mary A. (Fish) Dufault died in 2008.
He leaves two sons, Ronald A. Dufault and his wife, Mary of Worcester and Robert W. Dufault and his wife, Karen of Sutton; a daughter, Janet I. Chesties and her husband Ronald of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Michael and Timothy Dufault, Anna and Evan Dufault, Laurie Fazzino, Debra McCarthy and Karyn Peters; eight great grandchildren, Emma and Connor Dufault, Jack Dufault, Megan and Ryan McCarthy, Alexis and Jaden Peters and Kaelyn Fazzino; a sister, Dolores Daoust of Charlton; many nieces and nephews, including his special nephew Robert E. Courchesne of Hingham with whom he was very close. He is predeceased by five brothers, Roland, Arthur, Raymond, Leo and Edward and four sisters, Helen Daoust, Lucille Courchesne, Estelle Pariseau and Jeannette Dufault.
Pat was a veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from Wyman-Gordon in Grafton at age 62 and enjoyed many years of retirement, vacationing in York Beach, Maine and spending time at Foxwoods with Mary.
The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to Donna Bowen for her loving care and compassion to Dad during his residence at St. Francis.
His funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 15th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 654 Main St. in North Oxford. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14th in the funeral home.
