MILLBURY Albert P. Kupcinskas Sr., 89, of 139 Millbury Ave., died peacefully Thursday, March 1st.
His wife, Ruth M. (Hayward) Kupcinskas died in 2003. He leaves a son, Albert P. Kupcinskas Jr. and his wife Patricia of Millbury; two granddaughters, Rebecca A. Burrell of Rowley and Rachel L. Kupcinskas of Webster; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Margaret (Karsokas) Kupcinskas, two brothers Stanley and Joseph Kupcinskas and a sister Beatrice Knapik. He was raised in Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School in 1934.
As a young man, Mr. Kupcinskas worked at various jobs and received training to be a machinist. He worked at the American Steel and Wire Co. until joining the U S Army during WW II and served with the 45th infantry Division in European. After the war he returned the American Steel and Wire Co and then founded AK Machine Co. and worked until he was 87 years old.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 4th in the funeral home.
