MILLBURY Albert J. Mitchell Jr., 64, of 176 Wheelock Ave., died Thursday, Oct. 14th in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Boston.
He leaves his wife, Julianne (Renauld) Mitchell; three sons, John T. Mitchell of Sutton, Daniel A. Mitchell of Worcester and Blane J. Mitchell of Athol; a brother, Leo K. Mitchell of Grafton; two sisters, Audrey Lupia of Harrisburg, Pa. and MaryLou Drapeau of Millbury; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Millbury, son of Albert J. Mitchell Sr. and Margaret (King) Mitchell and has lived here all his life.
Mr. Mitchell was a truck driver for various area trucking companies, retiring last September. He was a fire fighter with the Millbury Fire Department Engine #3 for 16 years. He was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War, serving in Korea. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the American Legion Post in Jaffrey, N.H. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 18th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton, St., Worcester. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17th, in the funeral home.
