MILLBURY - Albert Russo, 76, of 10 Lake St., died Saturday, May 12, in St. Vincent Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center, after being stricken ill at home.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, June L. (Quarelli) Russo; two sons, John A. Russo and Michael P. Russo both of Millbury; two daughters, Christine J. Kozlowski of Millbury and Mary A. Hollis of Lexington, Kentucky; a brother, Frank Russo of Worcester; three sisters, Madeline Lizzotte and Christine Sbrogna both of Worcester and Jennie Russo of Ft. Myers, Florida; seven grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by four brothers and one sister. He was born in Worcester, son of Francis and Natalie (Lapriore) Russo and has lived in Millbury 50 years.
Mr. Russo was a maintenance mechanic at Worcester Taper Pin in Shrewsbury for 15 years, retiring in 1989. Previously he worked at Hill Envelope for 25 years. He was an Army Tech. Sergeant during WW II.
He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and the Knights of Columbus in Shrewsbury.
Ffuneral will be held Wednesday, May 16, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St. Burial in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association , 20 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701-4688 or to a charity.
