SUTTON i�½ Alexander L.G. DiIorio, 48, died Friday, July 9th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Carol A. (Gurney) DiIorio; three children, Cara L. DiIorio, Alexander S. DiIorio and Daniel R.C. DiIorio all of Suton; his mother, Angelina (DelMonaco) DiIorio of Westfield, NJ; two brothers, Domenick DiIorio of Watchung, NJ and Emilio DiIorio of Westfield, NJ; nephews and nieces. He was born in Plainfield, NJ and is predeceased by his father, Alexander S. DiIorio.
Alexander was the Director of Bio-processing at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester. He graduated from Columbia University in 1983 and obtained his Masteri�½s Degree from WPI in 1986 and his Ph.D. from WPI in 1991. He was formerly on the Long Range Planning Committee in Sutton. He was an Eagle Scout and was also formerly involved with the Cub Scouts Pack in Sutton. His hobbies were hiking and making trails in the woods, cooking, golfing, bowling, and driving his 1946 Jeep.
His funeral will be held Tuesday July 13th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Marki�½s Church, 356 Boston Rd. in Sutton. Burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 12th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in care of VNA Care Network, Inc. Development Office 120 Thomas Street Worcester, MA 01608-1280. m.
In addition, a Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17th in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 315 First St. Westfield, NJ.
