Alexander P. Portais, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Millbury Healthcare Center after a short illness.
Alexander is predeceased by his wife, Hazel O. (Fenner) Portais who died in 1999. He leaves a son, Alan P. Portais and his wife, Vicki J. of Millbury; a sister, Rita Lach of Torrington, CT; a brother in law, Edward B. Fenner, Jr. of Worcester; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Alexander was born in Cambridge, MA and was an Air Force Veteran of WW II. He was a machinist at Crompton and Knowles Company for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and vacationing in New Hampshire at Squam Lake.
A private funeral service will be held in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours.
