GRAFTON Alice E. (Barela) Bohanan, 82, of 12C Zgonis Dr., formerly of Elmwood St., South Grafton, died Saturday, Jan. 28th in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Northbridge.
She leaves her husband. David M. Bohanan; a daughter, Sandra Sue Calvo of Tracey, California; a son, Mark L. Bohanan of Worcester; four sisters, Adele Elder, Vicky Richardson, Lea Dondich and Delia Pomrenke all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her son Phillip Patinous and three brothers and she was born in LasVegas, Nevada, daughter of Jose and Anna (Guerara) Barela.
Mrs. Bohanan formerly owned and operated Magic Dry Cleaners on East Mountain St. in Worcester. She previously worked at many dry cleaning businesses in the area. She loved cooking, crocheting and sewing.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1st in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James R. Bohanan Scholarship Fund in care of the Sutton High School, 375 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590.
