MILLBURY Alice G. (Gould) Stockwell, 97, formerly of 9A Beach, died Saturday, Oct. 2nd in Millbury HealthCare Center.
Her husband, Lawrence F. Stockwell died in 1987. She leaves a daughter, Jerilyn Stead and a son, Robert L. Stockwell both of Millbury; a sister, Mildred Ramirez of Medford; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. She was born in Everett, daughter of Frederick H. and Alice A. (Litchfield) Gould and has lived in Millbury most of her life. She graduated for Millbury High School in 1926.
Mrs. Stockwell was a member of the First Congregational Church and was a former member of the churchTM)s Flower Committees and the Music Committee of the Junior Choir. She was also a member of the Mary Martha Guild of the church for over 50 years. She was a member of the former Adah Chapter Order the Eastern Star and was now a member of the Pakachoag Order of the Eastern Star, in Auburn. She was a member of the Millbury Historical Society and the Millbury Council on Aging.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct 6th at 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in West Millbury Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Congregational Church, 148 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
