SUTTON – Allan E. Hicks Jr. 48, died Thursday, Aug. 20th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after a short illness.
Allan is survived by his parents Allan and Rona Hicks; a brother Gordon Hicks; his partner April Malo; sons Owen and Noah, and daughter Gloria Hicks. He is also survived by his many friends and colleagues who will remember his sharp wit and quick smile.
He was a loving father, who adored his children. Friends will remember his loyalty, generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. A lifelong resident of Sutton, Al lived a very full life. He was an avid outdoorsman, bicyclist, skier, snowshoer and enjoyed fantasy football.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25th at the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post, Boston Rd. in Sutton. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his children through The Allan E. Hicks, Jr. Children's Fund c/o The Millbury Credit Union, 50 Main St., Millbury, MA, 01527.
