MILLBURY- Alvina M. (Collette) Carlson, 86, of 19 Epping St., died Wednesday March 26, in St. Vincent Hospital, at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.
Her husband, Walfred J. Carlson died in 1981. She leaves two sons, David J. Carlson Sr. of Webster and Walfred J. Carlson Jr. of Millbury; two daughters, Jeanine A. Carlson of Hartland, Maine and Candace A. Payne of Millbury; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A sister, Jeanette Goodrich and two brothers, Edward and Edmond Collette, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur and Corrine (Boucher) Collette and has lived in Millbury most of her life.
Mrs. Carlson worked at Schuster Woolen Mill many years ago.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed gardening.
The funeral will be held at Saturday, March 29 from Mulhane Home For Funerals, 45 Main St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 14 Waters St.. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 28, in the funeral home.
