SUTTON Andrew W. MacCollom, 55, of 658 Central Turnpike, died Thursday, June 23rd in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves his wife of 34 years, Beverly A. (Elder) MacCollom; three daughters, Bonnie M. wife of Peter Scott of Auburn, Laurel L. MacCollom and Julie A. MacCollom; his step-mother, Pauline (Weatherbee) MacCollom of Milbridge, Maine; a sister, Margaret A. McGee of Akron Ohio; nephews and nieces. He was born in Clinton, MA, son of the late Welby and Marion (Nourse) MacCollom. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Mr. MacCollom owned and operated A. M. Excavating before retiring last year due to illness. Previously he worked for Whittier Farms Inc. for almost 25 years. Andrew served with the Agawam Massachusetts Army National Guard, Infantry Division. He was a former volunteer firefighter for the UMASS Amherst Campus. He was a member of the Sutton Zoning Board of Appeals and the West Sutton Couples Club. Andrew had a great love for his antique pickup truck, his work, his home and family.

His funeral will be held Monday, June 27th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. MarkTM)s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 26th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. MarkTM)s Church Sound System Fund, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590 or to the Levine Cancer Center, Medical HematologyOncology Clinic, 3rd floor, 33 Kendall St., Worcester, Ma. 01605.
