MILLBURY - Angelo J. Cammuso Sr., 81, of 26 Lincoln Ave., Ext., died Tuesday, June 12, in Providence House Nursing of Millbury.
His wife Julia J. (Kaiser) Cammuso died in March. He leaves two sons, Angelo J. Cammuso Jr. of Ware and Dennis P. Cammuso of Shrewsbury; three daughters, Jennie J. Cammuso of Shrewsbury, Linda Nietupski of Sterling and Julie Graham of Amherst, N.H.; five brothers, Albert Cammuso of Summerfield, Florida, Andrew Cammuso and Frank Cammuso both of Millbury, George Cammuso of Shrewsbury and Nicholas Cammuso of Sterling; three sisters, Frances Champalia of Clinton and Philamena T. Felice and Rosaile Bennis both of Millbury; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Paul Cammuso predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Francesco and Giovannina (Monfreda) Cammuso and lived in Millbury most of his life.
Mr. Cammuso first worked at Hayward Schusters before he worked as a truck driver for Millbury Express. He then worked at Ballard Motors for 16 years before he retired as service manager in 1965. He then worked part time at United Tool Co. He was an Army veteran during WW II and was a former special police officer in Millbury.
He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and a former member of Italian American Drum Corp. in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Friday, June 15, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Activity Fund of the Providence House Nursing Home, 29 Main St.., Millbury, Ma. 01527.
