Anna M. (Constantino) Powers, 86, died Monday, October 8, 2012 after a short illness.
Her husband, Francis A. Powers died in 1990. She leaves two daughters, Susan L. Finne of Millbury and her companion, David C. Lavallee of Whitinsville and Deborah A. Bernier and her husband, Roger of Lehigh Acres, FL; four grandchildren, Kenneth Finne and his wife Laurie of Wilmington, Kurt Bernier of Puerto Rico, Justin Finne of Framingham and Adam Finne and his wife, Mallory of Belchertown; a brother, Dominic Constantino of Manassas, VA; a sister, Grace Caforio of Westborough; a beloved lifelong friend, Jenny Stewart of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Gemma (Zaino) Constantino and predeceased by her oldest grandson, Jamie Bernier.
She was a 1945 graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester. Anna met and married Tussy in 1948, settling on Dorothy Road in Millbury living there until his passing in 1990. Anna worked at Crompton and Knowles Company, Coppus Engineering and for the Millbury Veterans Agent. She was a volunteer for the Dorothy Manor School Mothers Club in the early 1960's and the Millbury Senior Center, where she enjoyed activities and day trips with her many friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will be remembered always for her kind and generous nature and her ability to always see the bright side of life.
Anna's funeral will be held on Thursday Oct. 11th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Her burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10th in the funeral home.
