WORCSTER - Anna (Kulesza) Zybas passed Friday, June 23rd, peacefully with her family by her bedside at Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing Home.
Her husband, Anthony Zybas died in 1998 and her son, Paul Zybas of Sutton who died in 1972. She leaves her daughter, Dr. Barbara Jones and her husband, Thomas Jones of Jupiter, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Thomas Jones and his wife, Karen Rocca Jones of Lunenburg, Susan (Jones) Green and her husband, Jack Green of Windermere, Florida, Andrew Zybas and his wife, Heather (Ketchan) Zybas, of Upton, Maine, Marybeth (Zybas) Leo and her husband, Keith Leo of Sturbridge, Matthew Zybas of Seattle Washington and 6 great grandchildren Justin, Chelsey, Ryan, Jonathan, Ian and Jeremiah. She was born in Worcester, and is also predeceased by her parents, Peter and Catherine (Kopaniarz) Kulesza, her brothers, Stanley, Frank and Walter Kulesza and four sisters, Veronica Albe, Josephine Kosnick, Mary Libuda and Genevieve Gulbicki.
Anna attended St. Mary's High School. She was a member of the former St. Catherine of Sweden Catholic Church in Worcester and was an active member of the church's Women's Society. Nana as she was known to all her family, was an avid gardener, loved to sew and crochet and treasured all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Anna's funeral will be held Tuesday, June 27th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St. in Millbury with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral Mass in the funeral home and burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery in Sutton.
