MILLBURY Anthony R. "Bob" Baroni, 73, died Tuesday, April 27th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Barbara A. (Sweeney) Baroni; three children, Joanne Christie and her husband, David of Sutton, Cynthia Maguire and her fiancee, Glenn Wells of Millbury and Michael Baroni and his wife Tracy of Millbury; six grandchildren, Steven, Bryan, Michael Jr., Kayli, Kristy and John; two brothers, Raymond Baroni, Sr. of Auburn and Richard Baroni of Millbury; a sister, Rosalie Baroni of Worcester; two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Sweeney and Theresa Dumas both of Worcester; his best friend, Xena; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Whisty and Sylvia (Veroneau) Baroni and his son, Tony Baroni.
Mr. Baroni was a Deputy for the Worcester County SherriffTM)s Department, before he retired in 1999. He was also a former Special Police Officer for the town of Millbury and a former member and president of the Central Mass. Police Association. The family would like to thank the staff at Christopher House in Worcester for their care.
His funeral will be held Friday, April 30th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 29th in the funeral home.
