Anthony Chesna

September 20, 1924 — April 30, 2010

MILLBURY - Anthony J. Chesna, 85, formerly of Worcester, died Friday, April 30th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Sabina (O'Rourke) Chesna and his second wife, Dorothy (Shortsleeve) Chesna. He leaves his son, Michael Chesna and his wife, Donna with whom he lived in Millbury; a daughter, Cathy Wilczynski and her husband, Michael of Sutton; grandchildren, Ben and Erik Chesna, Jannell Wilczynski, Alicia Gemme and her husband Patrick of Worcester; two sisters, Rita Mawdsley of Worcester and Phyllis Dubois of Grafton; nephews and nieces. He was born in Lithuania, son of Joseph and Josephine (Zinkovich) Chesna.

Anthony was an sonic engineer at Wyman-Gordon Co. in Worcester, where he worked for many years, before he retired. He was an Army veteran during WW II, serving in Northern France, the Rineland and Central Europe.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, May 5th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 4th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St., Millbury, MA 01527.
