WORCESTER – Arlene R. (Miller) Szynal, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 20th surrounded by her loving family.
Arlene leaves her children, Barbara Towle of Worcester, Christol Albano and her husband, Joseph of Shrewsbury and Christopher Szynal and his wife, Charlene Nelson of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Jonathan, Kayla, Brendon, Lucas, Jayden and Anthony; a great granddaughter, Emma; two sisters, Carol L. Santora and her husband, Michael of Worcester and Nancy Yacino and her husband, Alan of Oxford; a brother, David Miller of Utah; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Helen (O’Connor) Miller; two sisters, Jean Ann McGovern and Marjorie R. Love.
Arlene was a waitress for many years before retiring to raise her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, watching movies and visiting the beach. Most of all Arlene loved spending time with her family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Mary’s Nursing Home, along with Sharon and Virginia of Hospice of Western & Central Massachusetts for all their care and support.
Family and friends will honor and remember Arlene’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, Nov. 28th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her graveside services will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 29th at 11 a.m. in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or to the donor’s choice.
