MILLBURY Arthur LaCoy Jr., 77, of 20 Tainter Hill Rd., died Monday, Sept. 3rd in the VA Boston Healthcare System.
His wife, Shirley E. (Johnson) LaCoy, died January 1st. He leaves a son, Arthur J. LaCoy of Millbury; four daughters, Donna wife of Len Lussier of Whitinsville, Elizabeth wife of Jack Mazeika of Millbury, Christine wife of Bill Anderson of Auburn and Mary wife of Mike Kennedy of Millbury; a brother, Joseph R. LaCoy of Grafton; two sisters, Dorothy Foley of Millbury and Jean Manzione of Boiling Springs, PA; Six grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Arthur R. LaCoy Sr. and Elizabeth (Henderson) LaCoy. He is predeceased by his brother, Donald LaCoy.
Mr. LaCoy worked at the former Chabot Motors in Millbury, Collette Motors in Grafton, Village Rambler in Worcester and Day Brothers in Auburn, before he retired. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War, and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Charles F. Minney VFW Post and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
His funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 6th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5th in the funeral home.
