Barbara A. Conger

Barbara A. (Comptois) Conger, 83, of Millbury, MA, passed away peacefully on December 26th. Known affectionately by all as “the nicest lady,” Barbara brought joy and warmth to everyone she met with her cheerful spirit and caring nature.

A devoted lifelong member of the Millbury Baptist Church, Barbara was actively involved in the Women’s Council and enjoyed sending greeting cards to celebrate birthdays and lift the spirits of those in need.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Sherry Conger of Rutland, MA, and Kristen Daniels and her husband Ernie Daniels of Cranston, RI, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her dear friend Shirley Haglund, with whom she shared many delightful pranks and adventures. 

The family would like to thank the staff at CareOne Millbury for filling her later years with friends and activities.

A memorial service will be held at the Millbury Baptist Church on a date to be announced. Burial will be a private. 

In lieu of flowers, the family hopes that Barbara's legacy of kindness and generosity will inspire those who knew her to make donations to the Millbury Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 222, Millbury, MA 01527, or to the animal charity of their choice.
