SUTTON - Barbara M. (Budreau) Dawes, 65, of 5 Church St., Wilkinsonville, died Thursday, May 31, in St. Vincent Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.
She leaves her former husband, Daniel E. Dawes of Brookfield; two sons, Michael J. Dawes of East Douglas and Daniel P. Dawes of Turners Falls; a sister, Julia A. Anderson of Worcester; two brothers, Henry E. Budreau Jr. of Barre and William J. Budreau of Leicester; two grandchildren of East Douglas and eight other grandchildren; two great-grandchildren of Worcester; nephews and nieces. Two daughters, Diana DiPilato and Kathleen M. Gillispie and a sister, Marion Adamiak predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Henry E. and Marjorie M. (Gangnon) Budreau and has lived in Sutton for 11 years. She attended Barre High School.
Mrs. Dawes worked in the rehabilitation department of the Providence House Nursing Home of Millbury for 9 years, retiring in 1996. She previously was a certified nurses aide at Haywood Valley Nursing Home in Worcester for 10 years.
She was a member of St. MarkTM)s Church.
The funeral will be held Monday, June 4, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Marks Church, 356 Boston Rd. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
