Barbara Mankevetch

March 18, 1936 — December 16, 2004

MILLBURY Barbara J. (Symonowicz) Mankevetch, 68, of 253 Riverlin Street., died Thursday, Dec. 16th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, of Worcester, after a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 50 years, David V. Mankevetch; three daughters, Virginia M. wife of Ronald Blaszczyk of Worcester, Pamela M. wife of Paul Vigeant of Grafton and Judith A. Loconto of Sutton; three brothers, William Symonowicz of West Boylston, Michael Symonowicz of New Hampshire and Alfred Symonowicz of Leicester; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester.

Mrs. Mankevetch was a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, in Worcester, for 25 years, retiring in 1992 and was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, in Millbury.

Her funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 20th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Faber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
