Barbara Woodward

MILLBURY - Barbara T. (Riel) Woodward, 86, died peacefully at her home in Millbury surrounded by her family on August 24, 2022.

She leaves her three children, Kevin and his husband Sheldon of Auburn, Gregg who lived with her and cared for her after the death of her husband Ronald in 2014, and Beth-Ann of Auburn and her sister-in-law Janice Girouard (Woodward) of Millbury. She was also predeceased by her parents Ernest Riel of Worcester and Emaline (Levesque) Riel of Millbury.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and always participated in the Millbury Senior Center Craft sale each year.  She loved traveling and took many trips and cruises with their friends to places like the Caribbean and Las Vegas.  She was an avid Red Sox fan and never missed watching a game.

Barbara’s calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 31st from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street, Millbury, with a funeral service directly following in the funeral home.  Burial will be at the St. Phillip’s Cemetery in Grafton.

The family requests that anyone attending the calling hours or funeral please take all Covid precautions and wear a mask at all times.
