MILLBURY Bernice (Caplette) Dwinell, 87, of 7B Lincoln Ave., died Wednesday, May 3rd, in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Worcester.
Her husband, Harold G. Dwinell died in 1979. She leaves two sons, David C. Dwinell and his wife, Valerie of Irvington, NY and Gary T. Dwinell of Millbury; a sister, Glory E. Dennison of Denver, CO; three grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Millbury and is predeceased by her parents Fred and Blanche (Bisson) Caplette, a sister, Blanche LaPlante and a brother, Alfred E. Caplette. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1936 and then Becker Business College in 1937.
Mrs. Dwinell worked for Dr. E. Olin Angell in Millbury for 7 years. She then worked for 18 years and retired as head clerk in 1983 from the Millbury Tax Collector Office. She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and a former member of itTM)s WomanTM)s Club. She was a founding member and former treasurer of the Parents Teacher Assoc. of Our Lady of the Assumption School in Millbury, a member of the Millbury Historical Society and the Millbury Council on Aging.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 6th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 5th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
