AUBURN Bernice E. (Davidson) Lachapelle, 81, of 85 Pakachoag Village, formerly of Millbury, died Saturday, June 5th in her home, after an illness..
She leaves her husband, Harold A. Lachapelle; two daughters, Jane Guilfoyle of Auburn and Brenda J. Lachapelle of Leicester; three sons, Robert P. Lachapelle of Douglas, Richard A. Lachapelle of Grafton and Paul K. Lachapelle of Leicester; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by a daughter, Bertha Ann Lachapelle, a twin sister, a sister and two brothers. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Wallace F. and Nora M. (Sharkey) Davidson.
Mrs. Lachapelle was a volunteer at St. AnthonyTM)s Hospital and also worked at a day care center both in Florida.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 8th, in the West Millbury Union Chapel, West Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in West Millbury Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7th, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 main St., Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, in care of the VNA Care Network, Inc., 120 Thomas St., Worcester, Mass. 01608.
