Bernice M. (Squiers) O’Gassian, 67, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, Oct. 16th in her home.
Bernice leaves a son, John V. O’Gassian and his wife, Paula of Medway; a daughter, Winnie T. Eilert and her husband, Jason of Millbury; fifteen grandchildren, Mark III., Justin, Ryan, Corey, Johnna, Sampson, John Jr., Willow, Jake, Neil, Ashley, Lynn, Jen, Sarah and Matty; four siblings, Victor P. Squiers, Jr. and his wife, Sylvia of Whitinsville, Rose M. Moss of Millbury, George L. Squiers and his wife, Marie of Millbury and Emma F. Squiers and her companion Charlie Hagstrom of Auburn; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Victor and Winifred (Reeks) Squiers; her long-time companion, Neal M. Donovan; a son, Mark J. O’Gassian, Jr. and a granddaughter, Hannah Eilert.
Bernice was a lifelong resident of Millbury. She loved being surrounded by family and friends at the camp on Singletary Lake. Bernice also enjoyed spending time and making memories with her extended family at the Belfont Hotel. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and shopping. Bernice’s passion was taking care of her cats, Pepper and Baby.
Family and Friends will honor and remember Bernice’s life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, Oct. 20th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 21st at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
