MILLBURY - Brian C. Jezyk, 45, of 5 Grove St., died Wednesday, May 7th after an accident, while vacationing in Brazil.
He leaves his wife, Marta (Costa) Jezyk; his parents, Donald J. and Joan F. (Mackie); Jezyk of Millbury; six step-children, Guilherme, Marizete, Lilliam and William Barbosa and Andrew Gillio and Christie Barber; four grandchildren; Uncle and Aunt Daniel and Rita Jezyk of Sutton; two cousins, Danielle Barry of Holden and Suzanne Jezyk of Billerica and many friends here and in Brazil. He was born in Worcester and lived most of his life in Millbury and graduated from Millbury Memorial High School in 1980, where he played soccer, basketball and baseball.
Brian worked at Wyman Gordon in Grafton for 20 years in the Die and Forge Shop. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local 2285. He played Little League Baseball for the C.D. Whitney team. After the love of his family and friends, his passion was the Red Sox, Celtics and the Patriots. He spent many summers at Hampton Beach.
His funeral will be held Saturday, May 17th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 16th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brian C. Jezyk Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the Millbury Federal Credit Union, 50 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
