MILLBURY Burton H. Griggs, 66, of 284 West Main St., died Thursday, April 8th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Patricia T. (Fairbanks) Griggs; five sons, Mark B. Griggs of Worcester, Michael S. Griggs of Texas, James B. Griggs, John J. Griggs and Daniel C. Griggs all of Millbury; a daughter, Dawn K. Janda of Virginia; his mother, Astrid (Asplund) Griggs of Oxford; a brother, George J. Griggs of Auburn; seven grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Cecil Griggs.
Mr.Griggs was a self-employed carpenter, retiring two years ago.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 13th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in West Millbury Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 12th, in the funeral home.
