Cam as he liked to be called was born on March 26,1935 in (Moncton) New Brunswick, Canada and moved to the US in 1961 at the age of 26 for better opportunities. He worked mainly in the manufacturing field on the production line for several companies, Fitchburg Paper Mills, Simonds Saw, Foster Grant and his last full-time position at Rand Whitney before retiring at the age of 62. He also briefly worked as a crossing guard for the school in his retirement years.

He lived and raised his family in the Fitchburg/Leominster area but home to Cam was being surrounded by his family. He loved to play Rummy with his daughters making up rules as he went along, always accusing them of cheating in good fun. He loved to watch his beloved Montreal Canadians play hockey and he would always banter back and forth with his son-in-law Lee and his grandson Derek about the Canadians being so much better than the Bruins. If he was not home with his family, you could always find him strolling around one of his favorite places, Coggshall Park in Fitchburg or at Applebee’s in Leominster.

The family would like to thank the staff of Summit Eldercare for all their compassionate care given to Cam during his time in their program and especially towards the end of his life.

The family would also like to thank all the staff at Applebee’s for always making their father feel welcomed and loved by all, always making sure his wine was ready as soon as he came through the door, making sure he was comfortable and spending many meals talking to him.

The services will be private at the request of the family.
