AUBURN- Carol A. (Piasta) LaRose, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from complications related to her battle with cancer.
She leaves her three children, Michelle LaRose Mathews and her husband Luke of Worcester, Heather Stock and her husband Rick of Webster, and Matthew LaRose and his wife Katherine of Oxford; nine grandchildren, Alex Mathews, Ashleigh and her husband Zack Shaw, Charles and Dominic Chivallatti, Lukas and Kayleigh Stock, Gianna LaRose, Patrick and Emily Ciejka; siblings Holly Huntoon and her husband John and Michael and his wife Pam Graves of Millbury, Tim and his wife Sandy Graves of Lincoln, RI.; brother-in law Richard LaRose and his wife Mary of Oldsmar, FL; several nieces and nephews, as well as her constant canine companion Gio.
Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband David in 2016 as well as her siblings Donna (Piasta) LeChasseur, Edward Piasta and his wife Cheryl, and Kathleen (Graves) Thomas.
Carol was born in Millbury, daughter of Doris (Capiston) and Edward Piasta.
She graduated from Millbury High School and continued to Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1969. She worked 50+ years as a Registered Nurse, most of that time spent working in long term care at various facilities in Central MA until her recent retirement from Blair House of Worcester.
Carol worked behind the scenes for her children’s many activities and teams and continued this on to her grandchildren, sewing patches, making costumes, and carting them around town. Carol enjoyed puzzles, sewing, needlepoint and crafting. She especially enjoyed knitting and crochet projects creating beautiful afghans and sweaters. She loved trips to the beach and area casinos to play slots, but she loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Carol’s life with a time of visitation on Saturday, Dec. 10th from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on the same day at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street in Worcester. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
