Carol Martin

Carol A. (McCatherin) Martin, 74, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's in her home on Saturday, May 27th surrounded by her loving family.

Carol leaves two sons, Jonathan P. Stevens and his long-time girlfriend, Carolyn Jette of Millbury and Christopher S. Stevens of Indiana; two step-daughters, Marcy Coombs and her husband, Peter of CT and Pam Griffin and her husband Brian of Northborough; four grandchildren, Marissa, Dara, Nicholas and Tayler; four siblings, John McCatherin, Jean McDonald, Charlie McCatherin and Keltie Collins all of Maine; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Neil A. Martin and her parents, D. Stewart and Emma (Gaudin) McCatherin.

Carol was a long time dance instructor, starting her dance career in Maine before moving to Massachusetts where she taught dance for many years in Sutton and Millbury. She touched the lives of many young aspiring dancers over the years. Carol enjoyed spending many summers at her home in Spruce Head Island, Maine and wintering in St. Pete's Beach, Florida. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family gatherings that were filled with song and dance.

Carol's calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

Her funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
