SUTTON

Carole Ann (Krysiak) Anderson, 81, of Sutton, Massachusetts passed away at her son’s residence in South Grafton, Massachusetts succumbing to pancreatic cancer. Carole was accompanied by her loving daughter-in-law Caroline, a practicing nurse who was one of her caretakers along with her son Travis since her diagnosis in February of this year.

Carole was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Anderson in 2009. Robert passed away at home after receiving a similar diagnosis and having requested to remain home and in the care of his family during his illness, Carole lovingly cared for him and all of his needs during this time. Roberts wishes were fulfilled as he was able to be in his own home for his passing.

Carole leaves behind two children Jennifer McDowell of Woodstock CT her children Katie, Sami, Alexander and Simon. Travis Anderson and his amazing wife Caroline Wood of South Grafton, MA. Her sister Veda Krysiak and brother Grant Krysiak of Webster MA. She was born in Newton MA to Joseph F Krysiak and Julian (Kennedy) Krysiak.

Caroline and Travis relocated Carole to their home in late February to take over her medical care as her illness progressed, along with the caring and attentive support of the staff at Metrowest Hospice. Her quality of life and her maintained positivity would have not capable without the amazing support of Bernadette, Monica, Natalie, Nicole and Lee, along with the tireless support of her closest friend Rita, daily communication with one of her oldest and closest friends in Colorado, Judy, and consistent caring communication of long-time neighbor and dear friend Pat. There was at no point that Carole felt lonely, uncomfortable or thought she was forgotten.

Carole enjoyed her travels to Europe, hiking, camping and adventuring with her husband Rob. Later in life she would visit Eastham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod with her children every summer. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, and cherished the limited time she was around to spend with them.

Her hobbies were many, but among her favorites was in her gardens her husband built around their home, propagating some of the most beautiful gardens in the area, taking incredible pride in them. She was a phenomenal cook and truly expert baker, her son will miss his mother’s from scratch birthday cake for the remainder of his life. She cherished quilting and her numerous crafts. Her skills and attention to detail will never be forgotten, she made some of the most incredible items all by hand, from the initial material selection to the time she dedicated nightly into each item. Her thoughtfulness into each of those gifts ensures they will be cherished by the ones lucky enough to receive them.

And all her life she was an extremely avid reader, and why she loved her librarian position at the Sutton Public Library.

There will be no services. In lieu of flowers Carole and family preferred donations be made out to the Woonsocket Animal Shelter , 242 Clinton St. Woonsocket, RI 02895
