SUTTON Carole P. (Army) Mong RN, 62 of 23 Marsh Road, died Sunday, December 5th in her home after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Worcester, MA on December 21, 1941 and moved to Sutton 27 years ago. She leaves her husband of 42 years, Wayne. P. Mong; three children, Stephen M. Mong, Suzanne M. Mong and David W. Mong all of Sutton; her parents, George H. and Regina M. (Bialobrzski) Army of Worcester; a brother, George H. Army Jr. of Shrewsbury; several nieces and nephews.
Carole graduated from St. StephenTM)s School in 1959 and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She also received certificates of education from Boston University School of Public Health in Boston and Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
She was a dedicated nurse who worked as a Registered Nurse for her entire career. Most recently she worked for Overlook Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. a division of the Masonic Health System of Massachusetts. She spent many years working for the former Millbury Visiting Nurse Association in Millbury, Massachusetts.
Carole enjoyed traveling and recent traveled to Greece with her husband.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 17th in St. Stephens Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester. There will be a private burial at the convenience of the family in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UMASS Memorial Foundation, Attn: Levine Center Donation, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613.
