Carolyn Zaklow

MILLBURY – Carolyn (Zemaitis) Zaklow, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 8th at home.

Her husband, Sheldon “Shelly” Zaklow passed away in 2022. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Henderson and her husband Jim; two sons, Steven Gibree and his wife Esther, Mark Gibree and his fiancée Laurie. Grandsons, Bryan Gibree and his wife Alli, Zachary and Nicholas Henderson; and her dog, Zoie. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine Zemaitis.

Carolyn graduated from Millbury Memorial High School, class of 1962. Over the years she worked at several jobs ranging from manufacturing to retail sales. During her later years she enjoyed traveling with her husband. Together they saw many parts of the world and took several river cruises. She was just as happy going camping in the White Mountains or walking the beach at Cape Cod. She always looked forward to the holidays decorating their home and spending time with her family. She was always full of energy, a bit stubborn and determined to make the most out of life.

Family and friends will remember and celebrate Carolyn’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, Feb 14th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. Her funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
