Cecile A. "Sis" Auger, 82, died Friday, Sept. 27th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She leaves sisters and brothers, Mederic E. Auger and his wife Dorothy of Schnectady, NY, Winifred Y. Russell of Augusta GA, Robert P. Auger and his wife, Jane of New Port Richey, FL, Germaine A. Chevalier and her husband Richard E. of Millbury; Lawrence E. Auger and his wife, Ruth of Rochester, NY, and Richard P. Auger and his wife, Lois of Holden; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Mederic E. Auger Sr. and Alice (Hevey) Auger and her twin sister, Lucille Auger.
Cecile attended David Fanning Trade School in Worcester and worked at the former Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester for 42 years. Sis as she wanted to be called enjoyed her flower gardens and was happy to feed the many beautiful birds at her feeder. She was a former member of the Cercle Jeanne Mance and enjoyed for many years bowling, in the Holy Name Auburn League. Cecile was loved and admired by the many family members that she always enjoyed being with. She was dedicated to caring for her mother for many years. Kind and gentle were her most outstanding characteristics.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. David Shepro and his staff and the staff in the infusion room at St. Vincent Hospital, for all their kind and professional help.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1st from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30th in the funeral home.
