Charles Burke

MILLBURY – Charles J. Burke, 79, passed away on Saturday, September 11th in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Charlie leaves his wife of 59 years, Diane Marie Anna (Ducharme) Burke; two sons, Charles A. Burke and his wife, Joanne of Millbury and Richard A. Burke of Millbury; one grandson, Sean M. Burke of Millbury; a sister, Mary Ann Rabidou; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son, John C. Burke and two brother’s, Paul and Michael Burke.

Charlie enjoyed football, baseball and small engine repair.  He was a faithful parishioner of St. Brigid Church for many years and enjoyed going to the Millbury Senior Center with his wife.

Family and friends will celebrate and remember Charlie’s life with a time of visitation on Wednesday, September 15th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 16th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury.  Burial will follow in St. Brigid Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street or the Friends of the Millbury Senior Center, 1 River Street, Millbury, MA 01527.
