Charles J. Kach, 62, died Monday, January 14, 2013 in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Charlie leaves his wife of 35 years, Ann C. (O'Brien) Kach; a son, Brendan M. Kach and his wife, Jaime of Worcester; two daughters, Ann C. Kach and her husband, Brian Lewandowski of Grafton and Kathleen H. Fleming and her husband, Michael of Worcester; five grandchildren, Jack and James Kach, Annie and Brian Lewandowski and Seamus Fleming; a sister, Carol Stazinski and her husband, Al of Westboro; a brother, Dr. Francis Kach and his wife, Sheila of Dudley; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Viola (Ruszala) Kach.
Charlie graduated with a bachelor's degree from Nichols College and an MBA from Western New England College. After acquiring his Journeymen's license as an electrician he worked for several area companies before becoming self-employed in the industry. He was a member of the Worcester County Electric League. He took great pride in his work and doing projects around the house. Charlie's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren at his homes on Cape Cod and in Worcester.
Charlie's funeral will be held on Thursday, January 17th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
