MILLBURY Charles N.H. Kupfer, 90, of Millbury, a wonderful father, an honorable and compassionate man that will be sadly missed, died Sunday, Oct. 15th in the Radius Health Care Center,
His wife, Catherine A. (Miner) Kupfer, died in 2003. He leaves two sons, Charles P. and his wife Susan Kupfer of Millbury and James H. Kupfer of Worcester; a brother, Kenneth Kupfer of Florida; two granddaughters, Kristine Masselli and Jacqueline Gabbett; six great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Donald Kupfer. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles H. and Lydia J. (Sauvageau) Kupfer and moved to Millbury six years ago.
Mr. Kupfer was a foreman at George S. Howard & Sons in Worcester and retired after working for the state of California in the city of PamonaTM)s courthouse. He was a Army veteran during WW II serving in Japan. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was an avid hunter, fisherman and a hard worker. His favorite place he made home was Las Vegas for 15 years.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18th in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund of the Radius Health Care Center, 29 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
