SUTTON - Chester R. Skowronski, 66, of Burbank Rd., Sutton and Murrells Inlet, S.C., died Sunday, May 22nd , after a long illness, surrounded by his family, in his daughterTM)s home in Awendaw, South Carolina.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Carole A. (Fox) Skowronski; three children, Carole Ann Stevenson of Sutton, Chester Skowronski Jr. of Murrells Inlet, S.C. and Colleen Parker of Awendaw, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, Kevin and Sarah Stevenson of Sutton, Zachary, Tucker and Austin Parker of Awendaw, S.C. and Brittany and Chester Skowronski III of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; an aunt, Helen Danko of Sutton and many cousins. He was born in Worcester, son of late Chester S. and Mary A. (Pianowski) Skowronski.
Mr. Skowronski was a Police Officer for the Worcester Police Department motorcycle traffic division before retiring and was a former member of the knights of Columbus in Shrewsbury. He enjoyed collecting antique cars with his son. He loved his home at the beach, traveling and his dogs, Buddy and Skipper.
His funeral will be held Saturday, May 28th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Rt. 122A, Millbury, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27th, in the funeral home.
