MILLBURY Chester S. Stencel Sr., 86, of 15 Shirley Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 10 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
He leaves his beloved wife, Rita C. (Feeley) Stencel; four children, Chester S. Stencel Jr. and John W. Stencel both of Auburn, Rita C. Lundberg of Charlton City, James E. Stencel of Shrewsbury; four sisters, Pelagia Flaminio and Irene Orne both of Worcester, Jane Smith of Grafton and Alfreda Letteri of New York; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was born in Worcester son of Stanley and Wadaslawa (Bocian) Stencel and has lived Millbury 50 years.
Mr. Stencel was a die sinker at Wyman-Gordon Company in Grafton where he worked for 40 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the Knights of Columbus in Grafton and was a long time member of the Froshinn Club in Shewsbury. He was a also a member of the Rambling Pilgrims and the Worcester Chapter of NAFCA
His funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 13th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12th, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Millbury Seniors, One River Street, Millbury, MA. 01527 or to the Building Fund of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester, MA. 01604.
