MILLBURY – Christina J. (Collins) Erickson, 76, died Saturday Jan. 1st in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
Her first husband, Ronald R. Fortier died in 1972 and her second husband, George D. Erickson died in 1985. She leaves a daughter, Nancy S. wife of Kevin E. Crowley; a son, Michael J. and his wife, Kathy J. Fortier; two grandchildren, Kadie and her husband, Christopher Bilodeau of Douglas and Colleen and her husband, Dennis Drumheller of Douglas; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Patterson of New York; nieces and nephews. She was born in New York and is predeceased by her parents, John and Susan (McCloskey) Collins and a grandson, Edward Crowley.
She previously worked as school crossing guard in Millbury and at the Millbury Credit Union and most recently at American Greeting Cards locally. She was a member and former Treasurer of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was an avid bowler and golfer and loved Irish dancing, music and enjoyed traveling and yearly trips to Florida.
Christina's funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 4th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3rd in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
