Christine Estabrook

Christine L. Estabrook, 49 formerly of Sutton, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 31st after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and it was in the summer of 2016 that it returned.

Christine leaves her parents, William and Yvonne (Mailloux) Estabrook of Millbury; a brother, Ryan Estabrook of Fall River; her aunt and uncle, Shirley and David Peterson of Bridgewater; and her cousins Linda, wife of Wesley DeNering of Ashland, Kate, wife of Douglas Leach of Derry N. H. and Paul Peterson of Bridgewater, all of whom were there for her as she went through the final stages. She is pre-deceased by her brother, Steven Estabrook who died in 1974.

Chris graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1985 was a graduate of Lesley College and went on for her Masters at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She lived in Montpelier, VT for a number of years and worked at the Union Institute. When that closed she moved back to Massachusetts where she worked in the Registrar's office at Assumption College. Chris was an animal lover and it was while living in Vermont that she adopted "Timothy", her Greyhound and constant companion. She had a bit of an artistic flair and enjoyed working with water colors, and charcoals.

Her family would like to thank her "Team" at Massachusetts General Hospital, her home care nurses as well as the hospice nurses. We appreciated all their efforts, as they diligently worked at trying to achieve a more positive result.

Christine's Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6th at St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114.
