Claire Briddon

AUBURN - Claire M. (Beaudette) Briddon, 82, passed away on January 6, 2022.

Born in Worcester, Claire lived and raised her family in Millbury and recently resided in Auburn. Claire was the daughter of Lorimer and Doris (Chapdelaine) Beaudette. She was predeceased by her grandson, Timothy Briddon, in April 2021.

Claire leaves behind a son David Briddon of Bradenton, FL; a daughter Linda Hopkins and her husband Mark of Oxford; a daughter Christine Chesna and her husband John of Auburn; a daughter Sandra Briddon of Auburn; and a son Gary Briddon and his partner Elizabeth of Millbury. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren whom she adored.

Claire loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was always posting pictures of her family on social media to share with her friends. She was the master link with her multigenerational family members and kept everyone connected and informed. Claire had an abundance of patience amidst the chaos of daily living and she always made herself available for anyone that needed support. Her gentle demeanor will be carried on in the hearts of the loved ones she left behind. Claire worked for an overseas travel agency and loved to travel to European countries frequently. She made sure each of her children had a turn to experience traveling overseas as well.

Claire graduated from Millbury High School in 1957. She previously held a secretarial position for many years at ALSG/Passports Travel Agency. Most recently, Claire worked at Allegro MicroSystems in Worcester. In her spare time, she was an avid reader or enjoyed her weekly bingo nights out with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember Claire’s life with a time of visitation on Friday, January 14th from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

Her funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Face masks are required in the funeral home.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choosing.
