NORTH GRAFTON- Claire M. (LaChance) Budroe, 81, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Francis X. Budroe; a son Joseph F. Budroe and his wife Ann of Whitinsville, two daughters Michelle Kotwica of Upton and Rebecca Reeves and her husband Shawn of Millbury. She leaves four granddaughters: Rhiannon Ledwell, Nadia Kotwica, Lillian and Kasey Reeves, a sister Lorraine Campbell of California, a sister Ann Lanoue of Spencer and Florida, a sister Janet Auger of Spencer, a brother John of Plymouth. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews, great friends and wonderful neighbors.
She was one of eight children and was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Lillian (Begnoche) LaChance of Cherry Valley and a brother and sister-in-law Wilfred and Dian LaChance of New York and Georgia, a sister Aurise Warfield of West Brookfield, a brother Robert LaChance and wife Shirley of Arizona, and a beloved granddaughter Heather Ann Kacmarcik.
She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School in Cherry Valley and graduated from Leicester High School then graduated from San Diego College for Medical and Dental Assistants in California.
She was a data entry operator for Paul Revere Ins. and State Mutual Ins. She retired from Allamerica Financial, now Hanover Ins., in 2002 after 27 years of Sr. Administrative Assistant Service. She enjoyed traveling the US, (via road trips) with her husband, gardening, home and yard maintenance projects, family gatherings, “The Ugly Sisters” get togethers, long lunch visits with old and new friends, daily “walks”, occasional casino visits and most of all her time spent with all of her children and granddaughters who she loved dearly.
Claire’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 14th at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
