Claire P. (Benoit) Kobel, 85, died in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home on Sunday, March 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, A. Alan Kobel; three children: Keith Kobel of Auburn, Mark Kobel and his wife Jill (Keith) Kobel of Holden, and Craig Kobel and his wife Dorothy (Moore) Kobel of Holden: three grandchildren Matthew Kobel of Brighton, Kevin Kobel and Joshua Kobel of Holden; a brother Robert Benoit of Spencer; a sister Constance (Benoit) Richard and her husband Albert Richard of Berlin. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Benoit of Spencer and her sister Agnes (Benoit) Brennan of Worcester.
Born in Worcester, to the late Arthur and Florina (Lamontagne) Benoit. Claire was raised in Worcester then lived in Millbury before moving to Holden in 2008. She attended Holy Name High School in Worcester and was a member of St. Brigid's Church in Millbury.
Claire was an Emergency Room Tech at St. Vincent's hospital retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Friends of Millbury Seniors, Millbury Seniors in Song and Church Women United. She was also a member of the St. Brigid's Choir for 30 years.
Claire's calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 9th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 10th with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Mausoleum in Worcester.
