MILLBURY Claire E. (Lynch) Matson, 90, formerly of Prospect St., died Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Radius HealthCare Center.
Her husband, Oran C. Matson died in 1981. She leaves two sons, Oran David Matson and Hudson L. Matson, both of Millbury; a sister, Thelma J. Eaton of Sutton; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. A brother, David C. Lynch, predeceased her. She was born in Sutton daughter of David H. and Helen (Finnan) Lynch.
Mrs. Matson was a designer at Bernat Yarn Co. in Uxbridge, before she retired. She also taught knitting at many schools and organizations. She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and a former president of itTM)s WomenTM)s Club. She was a member and past president of the Millbury WomanTM)s club and a member and former corresponding secretary of the Millbury Golden Age.
The funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 19, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St. Burial was in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, in the funerla home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund of the Radius HealthCare Center, 29 Main St., Millbury, Ma. 01527.
