Clyde Robinson

MILLBURY – Clyde “Marlin” Robinson, 80, went peacefully to a better place on Nov. 18th after a courageous battle with heart failure.

He leaves his beloved wife and best friend who he shared the last 47 years with, Linda L. (Luthman) Robinson.  They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 16th of this year.  He also leaves his loving children, Louanne Greene and her husband, George of Westborough; and Kerry M. Robinson of South Grafton; five granddaughters that he adored, Erin, Kristen, Katelyn, Felicia, Ashley and a great-granddaughter, that he also adored, Dulce; two brothers, Paul LeClair and his wife, Paula of Webster and Florida who spent many hours by his side and Charles Robinson of Hudson, ME; a sister, Cynthia Baxter of Westborough.  He also leaves George J. Victor III who was like a son to him and the Victor family who were a very large part of his life; and many close friends, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Clyde and Wilma (Wagnet) Robinson and a brother Edwin Robinson.

His favorite place in life was going to the family camp in Maine since childhood, where he enjoyed his time with family and friends hunting and fishing.  His passion was building hotrods and working on classic cars.  He owned Marlins Auto Body in Westborough for many years.  He previously worked for the former Goodall Tractor, A.B.B. and C.G.I.T. in Westborough, where he operated a crane.  Marlin was very proud of his Westborough High School class of 1956.  A devoted husband, father and friend he will be forever missed and loved by all that knew him.

Family and friends will honor and remember Clyde’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, Nov. 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24th, in the funeral home and burial will follow at St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury.
