MILLBURY – Colleen M. Richer, 47, died Wednesday, Oct. 28th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her husband, Steven P. Richer; three sons, Devin P. Richer, Cameron J. Richer and Aidan P. Richer all of Millbury; her parents, John and Helen (Mitchell) Lennon of Waltham; three brothers, Shawn P. Lennon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Keiran F. Lennon and his wife Kim of Dracut and Martin E. Lennon of Waltham; a sister, Maura J. Lennon of Roslindale; her father-in-law, Roger R. Richer of Auburn; her uncle, Leo J. Skonicki of Auburn; her aunt, Nancy Lennon of Brighton; nephews and nieces. She was born in Brighton and is predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Lennon.
Colleen graduated from Becker College in 1982 and was a certified occupational therapy assistant, prior to her marriage. She was always known for her bright smile and vivacious and distinctive laughter. She volunteered at the Millbury Schools and at the local hospitals and taught CCD at St. Brigid Church for many years. Colleen devoted her life to her sons.
Her funeral will be held Monday, Nov. 2nd from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1st in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Rd. Waltham, MA 02451.
