MILLBURY – Constance V. (Carlstrom) Dumas, 79, of 10 Carlstrom Lane, died peacefully, Friday March 28th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Joseph R. "Dick" Dumas; two daughters, Patricia M. Ludwig of Pawtucket RI and JoAnn M. Vangos of Millbury and JoAnn's fiancée Philip D. Girouard of Worcester; two sisters, June Johnson of South Yarmouth and Janet Gabree of Millbury; a brother, Edward C. Carlstrom Jr. of Arizona; two grandchildren, Anastasia "Stacey" Vangos and Joseph Vangos both of Millbury; nephews and nieces. She was born in Berkley, Michigan and is predeceased by her parents Edwin C. and Rose M. (Racicot) Carlstrom and a sister, Shirley Donnelly. She graduated from Millbury High School and Salter Secretarial School.
Constance was Medical Secretary for Dr. Daniel J. Reagan for many years, before he retired. She was a member of the Millbury Council on Aging. Connie was a loving wife,
mother and grandmother and will be missed by all her family and friends.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 1st from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 31st in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
